SUMEDANG, WEST JAVA – Coinciding with the historic momentum of the Kirab Pusaka Mahkota Binokasih Sumedang, the CAKRABUANA and NYIMAS INDANG GEULIS Scout Troops were officially inaugurated on Thursday, May 1, 2026, with full support from the World Peace Organization West Java Region.

This event was not merely an inauguration ceremony, but a space for reflection for the Senior Scouts on the great history of the Pajajaran Kingdom and the leadership era of Prabu Geusan Ulun. The WPO West Java Region's presence reflects its Peace is Action commitment through cultural preservation.

WPO West Java Regional Director, HE Arya Sukma Bayanata, who also serves as the Troop Advisor, emphasized the importance of safeguarding Sundanese identity and history for the younger generation in his address.

“Preserving Sundanese history is part of the work of peace. The noble values of silih asih, silih asah, and silih asuh must always be upheld. When the younger generation understands their cultural roots, they are not easily divided. That is the short path to peace,” HE Arya Sukma Bayanata affirmed.

The solemn inauguration is aligned with WPO West Java’s Cultural Education for Peace program. WPO believes that the Scout Movement plays a strategic role as a guardian of the nation’s history and culture, and as an agent of peace from the grassroots level.

Long live the Indonesian Scouts, bring honor to the nation with the spirit of Siliwangi! ⚜️

Peace is Action, Peace is a Must.
