The World Peace Organization (WPO) expresses its deepest condolences over the death of three Indonesian soldiers serving with the UNIFIL mission in Lebanon. Captain Inf. Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Private Farizal Rhomadon, who served as part of the Demining and Observer Battalion (DOB), were killed in an artillery attack by Israeli military forces in southern Lebanon on Monday (30/3/2026).
WPO strongly condemns the attack that claimed the lives of these soldiers and calls for protection of peacekeeping forces. "We stand with the families of the victims and the Indonesian people in this moment of mourning," said WPO in an official statement.
The Indonesian government is urged to reconsider plans to send peacekeeping forces to Gaza amid escalating conflict in the Middle East.
