WPO Expresses Condolences Over East Bekasi Train Accident, Calls for Stronger Transportation Safety

BEKASI – The World Peace Organization (WPO) expressed its deepest condolences over the train accident that occurred in East Bekasi on Monday, April 28, 2026. The evacuation process by joint response teams has been completed.
President of the World Peace Organization, Dr. Bambang Herry Purnomo, S.H., M.H., stated:
"On behalf of the World Peace Organization, we extend our deepest condolences for the train accident in East Bekasi. Public transportation safety is a fundamental right of every citizen. We pray that there are no casualties from this incident, and that all affected passengers can recover swiftly."
"WPO urges PT KAI and all relevant stakeholders to strengthen the national railway safety system. Safe and reliable transportation is a vital pillar of peace and national productivity," Dr. Bambang added.
WPO commended the swift response of PT KAI personnel, the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), the Indonesian National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, and volunteers in managing the evacuation and restoring services for the public.
