PEKANBARU – World Peace Organization ASEAN Zone appreciates the LAMR Riau Women's Pantun Workshop held at Balai Adat Melayu Riau, Pekanbaru, on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The event was part of the 56th Anniversary of the Riau Malay Customs Institute, Riau Province, themed "Upholding Customary Rights for Sustainable Development".

Vice President of World Peace Organization for ASEAN Zone, Datuk Seri Paduka Ramle Bin Mat Dale, attended and witnessed firsthand the cultural interaction between Riau Malay women and the delegation of Malay Kings from Malaysia.

"This pantun workshop is beautiful cultural diplomacy. Through pantun, we weave peace and strengthen the silaturahmi of ASEAN kinship. Malays are one kin, one language, one soul. This is the real manifestation of 'aur dengan tebing' in the modern era," said Datuk Seri Paduka Ramle Bin Mat Dale.

He affirmed that WPO ASEAN Zone is committed to supporting every cultural initiative that serves as a bridge for peace among nations. According to him, preserving pantun by Malay women is a strategic step to safeguard Malay identity while strengthening social stability in the ASEAN region.

Chairman of the LAMR Riau Daily Executive Council, Datuk Seri Taufik Ikram Jamil, expressed appreciation to the women of Puan LAMR. "All cultural activities in this Anniversary are the result of Puan LAMR's hard work and initiative. They are even self-funded. This proves their great love for Malay customs and culture," he said.

The Pantun Workshop symbolizes the strengthening of Malay brotherhood between Riau and Malaysia in the spirit of ASEAN peace.

The 56th Anniversary of LAMR Riau proves that culture is the path to peace. As long as pantun is exchanged, ASEAN Malay kinship will remain united.

If there is a well in the field,
We may stop to bathe.
With pantun we make peace,
ASEAN Malay kinship will not fade.
