World Peace Organization Marks World Ozone Day: Protecting the Ozone is Protecting Peace

JAKARTA - In commemoration of World Ozone Day, observed every September 16 with the global theme "From Science to Global Action", The World Peace Organization (WPO) calls for a global commitment to peace with nature through the protection of the ozone layer.
WPO emphasizes that the ozone crisis is not only an environmental issue, but a peace issue. The ozone layer is the Earth's shield, protecting all life from harmful ultraviolet radiation.
"Peace is not only about humans and humans, but about humans and nature. The sun shines, the earth breathes, and the ozone shields us with love. Protecting the ozone is protecting peace. Peace for the planet, peace for humanity," WPO stated in its official World Ozone Day 2025 message.
According to WPO, the principle of PEACE IS A MUST must be realized through concrete actions to protect the Earth. When the ozone is damaged, life is threatened and world peace is disturbed.
On this occasion, The World Peace Organization urges people around the world to take real action:
Reduce the use of ozone-depleting substances, such as CFCs in old refrigerators, air conditioners, and aerosols
Live sustainably by reducing single-use plastics and managing waste wisely
Plant trees and protect forests, as the lungs of the Earth that support atmospheric balance
Save energy and shift to clean energy, for a peaceful and sustainable future
"If we protect the sky, we protect life. Let's protect what protects us. Peace for the planet, peace for humanity," WPO concluded.
