PRSI Introduces RoboSports to Strengthen Indonesia’s Robotics Talent
INTERNATIONAL NEWS

Jakarta — The indonesian robotics association or Persatuan Robotika Seluruh Indonesia (PRSI) continues to encourage the emergence of various initiatives to strengthen Indonesia’s national robotics ecosystem. One of these initiatives is the development of RoboSports, which has become a symbol of the birth of a modern, creative, and inspiring robotic sports ecosystem in Indonesia. (March 6, 2026)
RoboSports does not only present technology competitions, but also serves as a platform for young generations to channel their creativity, technical skills, and spirit of innovation in the rapidly growing field of robotics. Through this initiative, young people are encouraged to create, compete, and innovate in developing various robotic technologies.
The Chairman of PRSI, Wahyu Hidayat, stated at the PRSI office that RoboSports is an important step in building a culture of technological innovation among young people from an early age.
“RoboSports is not merely a robot competition, but a movement to nurture a creative generation capable of combining technology, sports, and innovation. Here, young Indonesians learn to collaborate, compete in a healthy way, and create future technologies for the nation,” Wahyu said.
Support for the development of RoboSports has also come from international figures. The President of the World Peace Organization, Bambang Herry Purnomo, emphasized that robotic sports can play an important role in shaping the character of the younger generation in the technology era.

“Through RoboSports, we can build a young generation that is not only intelligent and creative, but also cares about peace and global progress. Activities like this bring together technology, sportsmanship, and the values of global collaboration. Young people learn that technological innovation is not only about competition, but also about building a more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable future for the world,” he stated.
According to him, activities that combine technology and the spirit of sports such as RoboSports can also become a platform for cultural and technological diplomacy between nations, while strengthening the role of young people as agents of change in the digital era.
With the support and strengthening of the ecosystem built by PRSI, RoboSports is expected to help lead Indonesia toward becoming a Creative-Tech Powerhouse—a nation that is strong in both creativity and technology, with young people as the main drivers in building the future of the nation’s technological advancement.
