Jakarta – In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Indonesian Marine Corps, an Interfaith Prayer ceremony was held, gathering religious leaders from various backgrounds. The event aimed to pray for the safety and success of the Marine Corps in carrying out their duties to protect the nation’s security and sovereignty.

The Interfaith Prayer was attended by the Marine Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Endi, senior Marine Corps officials, Ustad Das’ad Latif, and representatives of Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism.

Dr(c) KRT Romo Asun Gotama, M.H., Deputy VP for Finance and Budgeting of the World Peace Organization (WPO) and Deputy Secretary General of DPP Walubi, also delivered a Buddhist prayer during the ceremony.

President of WPO, Dr. Bambang Herry Purnomo, S.H., M.H., highlighted the importance of tolerance and harmony among religious communities to maintain national integrity and security. He also commended the Marine Corps for their dedication to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
