INDONESIAN NATIONAL ARMED FORCES CELEBRATES 80TH ANNIVERSARY WITH GRAND NAVAL PARADE

Jakarta, October 5, 2025 - The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) marked a major milestone yesterday, celebrating its 80th anniversary with a grand naval parade led by President Prabowo Subianto.
On October 2, 2025, President Prabowo Subianto inspected the naval fleet aboard KRI dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat, showcasing the country's maritime prowess. The event featured an impressive display of 51 vessels, including frigates, corvettes, submarines, and aircraft.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CELEBRATION
Naval Parade: KRI Brawijaya-320, the largest warship in Southeast Asia, led the parade, demonstrating Indonesia's maritime capabilities.
Aerial Display: The Navy's aviation units showcased their skills with aircraft such as Bonanza, Piper, CN-235, Cassa NC-212, Bell-412 helicopters, Panther helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Live Demonstrations: Spectators witnessed live demonstrations, including naval gunfire, the RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launcher, and the Multi Launcher Rocket System RM-70 Grad mounted on KRI Teluk Amboina-503.
Interagency Participation: Ships from other agencies, including maritime enforcement authorities, search and rescue teams, and fishing associations, participated in the formation alongside the Navy's fleet.
This grand celebration highlights the TNI's commitment to protecting Indonesia's sovereignty and promoting national unity.
