ACHIEVING TEACHERS: INDEPENDENT INDONESIA, HARMONIOUS WORLD
INTERNATIONAL NEWS

“We only recognize two professions in this world: TEACHERS and ALL OTHERS.”
In Indonesia, teachers are often honored with titles yet undervalued in practice. In many other countries, teachers are revered like deities. Regardless of titles, teachers guide, educate, and nurture us with heart, responsibility, and integrity to enlighten the nation.
Teachers do not only deliver lessons in classrooms. They shape character, instill love for the homeland, and build the nation. Many also go to the field, bringing education to children who lack financial means to attend school.
World Peace Organization (WPO), through PEACE ACADEMY initiated by the West Java Regional Office, supports the government in enhancing teacher capacity and quality education for all. Training, scholarships, and workshops are designed to develop professional educators ready for 21st-century challenges.
“Teachers are the light that illuminates the nation’s path. Without them, there is no progress.”
Dr. Bambang Herry Purno, SH., MH, President of WPO
Why National Teachers’ Day Matters
Appreciation of Dedication: Reminding us to value teachers’ contributions.
Reflection on Education Quality: Assessing inclusivity and equity in education.
Catalyst for Change: Driving policies that improve teacher welfare and learning quality.
Let this National Teachers’ Day be the starting point to honor, support, and invest in educators. Because when teachers excel, Indonesia becomes strong, and the world becomes peaceful.
